pdf24tools is an independent site, not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to PDF24 or Geek Software GmbH. PDF24 is a trademark of its owner. All tools run in your browser and your files are never sent to our servers.

Privacy policy

Short version: the files you use with pdf24tools never leave your device, the site sets no cookies, and it runs no analytics and no advertising. This page explains exactly what does reach a server when you visit.

Your files

Every tool works inside your browser tab. A file you choose is read from your device with the browser's File API and processed by JavaScript or WebAssembly in that tab; the result is created there and saved by your browser as a download. Files, their content and the results are not uploaded to pdf24tools, not stored by us and not seen by us. Text you type into a tool, such as invoice details, passwords or QR code text, is handled the same way.

When you close or reload the tab, the tool forgets the files. We keep no history and have no way to recover a file for you.

Analytics, advertising and cookies

pdf24tools currently uses no analytics or statistics service, no advertising, no tracking pixel and no cookies. We checked the site's code for this page: no such script is included. If this changes, for example if we add advertising, this policy will be updated when it happens.

The site stores one setting in your browser's local storage: the light or dark theme you picked (key p24-theme). It never leaves your device and you can delete it by clearing the site data in your browser.

What servers do see

  • Hosting: the pages are static files served by Cloudflare Pages. As with any website, Cloudflare receives your IP address, the requested address, the time and browser information to deliver the page and to protect it from attacks. pdf24tools runs no server code of its own there.
  • Fonts: the pages load fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com), so Google receives your IP address and browser information when a page loads. The sign PDF tool loads three extra handwriting fonts from the same service.
  • OCR: the first time you use OCR, the tool downloads the Tesseract recognition engine and language data from cdn.jsdelivr.net. Your document is not sent; only those program files are fetched.

Email

If you write to contact@pdf24tools.org, we receive your email address and your message and use them only to read and, where possible, answer it. We do not add you to any mailing list.

Your rights and changes

Because we hold no personal data from tool use, there is normally nothing for us to show, correct or delete. For emails you sent us, you can ask for them to be deleted at contact@pdf24tools.org. This policy was last updated on 2 November 2026.
